Should you find that your luggage did not arrive with you on your flight, you may be rest assured that every effort will be made to restore your luggage to you as quickly as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience you may be caused.

If after five days your luggage has not been restored to you, please complete and return the Baggage Inventory Form below,as this will enable us to make some further and more detailed inquiries. We kindly ask you to include size for clothing, colour and brand name of items if available.


Full claim should be made within 21 days of issue of the report, for claim to be valid.

Please fill out the Lost Baggage Inventory Form to provide us with necessary information.

Damaged Baggage

Icelandair trusts you to understand that suitcases are designed to protect their contents.  In the course of normal handling your baggage may show evidence of wear and tear.
The airline assumes no responsibility for minor cuts, scratches and dents.  Or for items that protrude from suitcases, such as, retractable handles, wheels, straps and luggage carts.
May we also remind our passengers that airlines do not accept liability for items of high individual value in checked-in baggage?

If a passenger notices damage on his baggage we ask him to please go to the service desk on respective airport and fill out a damage report.
